Recovery!!
This is what I did for the hours post-race. My Pro Compression socks were waiting for me in the mail when I got home (they're sponsoring my Ragnar team). Score!

One of my many recovery meals. Costco is best, man.

I also recovered by shoving meat down my gullet at a Brazilian steakhouse Sunday, and by eating two pounds of sliced mango yesterday. Good times.
Workout!!
Business as usual back in my training garage.
x5 (no rest)
20kb swings
20 second rope slams
x5 (no rest)
5 tire flips
5 (per arm) 16lb sledge hammer tire slams
x5 (some rest)
12 chest presses (two 25lb weights)
15 squat and rows
20 box jumps (24")
15 curls (15lb weights)
And then I made box jumps my bitch by doing twenty 30" jumps. BOOM.
Like the pics, love the recovery meals. The after-food is the true race medal.

ReplyDeleteI live in terror of box jumps but I do them. You got 20 reps on a 30" box? I'm impressed!
I'm OK with the 24" box but I've bitten it badly twice before doing box jumps. If you ever miss and slam your shins on that thing it hurts so so bad for so so long (a week!). After a miss not too long ago, I'm content with the 20" box for now, but I still hesitate before every jump.
I really like your weiners. I bet James Marsden doesn't have a weiner like that.
