40 second sprint @ 5:07 pace
60 second sprint @ 5:03 pace
60 second sprint @ 6:07 pace
Each sprint was followed with crazy ragged breathing and 198 HR. So, I must have been doing something right.
Oh, man, every time I talk about how much easier it is to push myself mentally when I run, it does NOT apply to running almost 12mph. Because holy fuck that is difficult to maintain. A minute feels like for fucking ever.
I was too lazy to take and upload one picture, so here is a picture I took Sunday trying to angle myself to look as skinny in the waist as possible. Why? I don't know.

I made brownies with strips of bacon on top over the weekend. I ate a quarter of the tray the first night. I'm working on finishing the rest. So good. Added bonus: My husband thinks it's disgusting so I don't have to share.

Buy a bra, hippie!
ReplyDeleteWow that is some crazy ass speed. I don't think I could run that fast, even for a minute.
ReplyDeleteI think you meant to say you made bacon with some brownies on the bottom. Number 1 rule of Bacon - bacon always gets top billing.
ReplyDeleteUm, I tried to run on a treadmill once at 12.6, just because that's the pace the Boston winner held....it didn't work out so well for me. And for the record, I never found out whether the treadmill went that fast!
ReplyDeleteHoly fastness!!!
ReplyDelete5:03 is freaking fast. If you did that on the treadmill, I am really impressed. I would be afraid that I would fly off and be eating dirt.
ReplyDeleteI did some one minute intervals at a 6 minute mile pace once (on the TM) and genuinely thought I might die. I only did the full minute because Tim and I were taking turns and I needed to beat him.
ReplyDeleteDang...speedy Gonzales here!
ReplyDeleteBrownies with Bacon.....hmmmm, gonna have to think on that one.
ReplyDeleteI've never run that fast before but there were times when I watched others run that fast and it looked really fast.
Wow, if I squint my eyes and turn my head on an angle, you are sooooooooooo skinny! HA
ReplyDeleteBrownies and bacon = FANTASTIC!!
ReplyDeleteThose intervals are fantabulous! I would burn out my lungs going that fast.
I love bacon and I love brownies, but I don't think I could eat them together. Unless the bacon was chocolate covered first. Then maybe.
ReplyDeleteBrownies and bacon... that is an interesting combination that I must try in the future!
