Thursday's Workout

Tonight my trainer and I talked about:
-My left hip. My...glutius minimus? Is that a thing? Something like that. Is bothering me. Grrrr.
-"Have you seen my monster head?"
-"Try my special protein"
-My armpits smelling like sandwiches. It was really bad today.

Workout:

First, oh my gosh. Let me start by saying that I have been talking about wanting to hang upside down since we first started training, years ago. When we walked into the back room today there was an INVERSION TABLE. I just about died of joy. My trainer hooked me into it, and it was awesome. It's there to stay, and I am very happy.

Then we tried a few leg exercises, but it was hurting my hip, so we moved on to arm exercises.

3x
12 seated curl to shoulder press
12 tricep pulldowns

3x
10 jumping pull ups

3x
12 overhead rows
10 (per arm) one armed assisted pull ups

some really lame planks

--------------------------

Yay for a good workout.

Did I smell terrible?

THIS BAD.

--------------------

Oh, I found another sweater under a pile of stuff at work. 29 sweaters.

--------------------

I ate a bag of Reese's Pieces of dinner. It's too hot for real food, and I'm too lazy.

--------------------

It's 8:30pm and I'm contemplating a nap.

--------------------

What book are you reading right now?

I'm reading Insomnia by Stephen King. It's one of the first books of his I fell in love with. I used to stay up all night reading it in high school. It's just as good as I remember.

Do you reread books?

I do. Frequently. My memory is pretty terrible, so I can re-read my cheesy murder mystery novels about twice a year without remembering "who did it." I've read Catch-22, possibly my favorite book, almost 20 times.

  2. I ate homemade brownies and vanilla ice cream for dinner!

I'm too caught up in work right now to have time to read a book. We have state testing in 3 weeks and to say I'm stressed is an understatement. I love being a teacher so that I can read all summer!!

  3. I haven't reread a book in a while, but sometimes I do. I like to reread my favorite books when I have the time :)

  6. I never re-read books - well except for Little House on the Prairie. I can always remember what happens 20 pages in. :(

Can't believe it's that hot in SoCa today. 55, rainy, and cloudy here today. :) I'm such a native.

  8. I totally re-read books. Half the time I can't even remember what happened. That's really lame, but VERY annoying when it's a book for my PhD that I'm reading...

Annoying about your hip. Is it fallout from the ultra do you think?

  9. Nice shirt! I read constantly, although I hesitate to reread a lot just because I have so much I haven't read yet. My husband absolutely love Catch-22 and I think he rereads it at least once every few years.

  10. I just finished the Lonely Polygamist by Brady Udall- pretty good. I don't generally reread books because I'm always buying more and want to get through them! I think I have 40ish right now... What can I say, I have an English degree and now teach high school English!

  13. No inversion table pictures???

I'm kind of in the middle of Adam Carolla's bad-ass book and Kathy Griffin's book. They are both great!
